Make your commute worth while
If you commute to work it is time to make better use of this time rather than sitting on your phone or being angry that the train or bus is late...again!
I recently started a new job that means I have a commute every morning and evening in and out of the city, for me, it's worthwhile I love my job and the city so it is best of both worlds. I have started to use my 30-minute train journey as 'me' time to get shit done and organised in my life.
These are some of the things you can do to make your own commute more valuable!
Life can get on top of us at times and stress is not good for your body so if you get worked up easily take ten minutes to use a mindfulness app on your commute to calm down and re-focus. I don't mean sit and 'om' and 'ahh' on the train but if that is your jam then do it, but I think this app is great to disconnect, focus on your breathing and remind you why you are doing what you are doing. It can be very grounding and currently I need that!
A classic but a good one - plan blog/social content, each week daily on my commute I'll drop down some post ideas I have and schedule any social media that needs to go out. I also use it to look through Instagram and find inspiration from other bloggers/celebs on what their feeds are like and how to make mine better.
I love to listen to podcasts on my morning journeys especially The Skinny Confidential and lots of business ones. Just search topics you want to listen to and find one you love - it is a great way to get advice on business or listen to something fun.
On a Monday I like to Bullet journal/write lists of shit that needs to be done over the course of the week, even if its just what needs cleaned or picked up from the shop that night it helps to get it down on paper. I am in the process of moving into a flat so my notebook is my lifesaver reminding me to call the electrician/internet provider/cleaner/moving van (you get it..I NEED my notebook to live right now ha!)
